Stop Managing Glare,
Fix It.

Glass Should Connect You to the Outside,
Not Make the Inside Unbearable.

Glare, hot spots, and blinds were never supposed to be part of the design. They’re a problem that now has a permanent fix. Glare Repair® installs inside your existing glass, eliminating glare and heat gain without replacing a single pane.

It’s time to give glass its job back.

Introducing: The Future of Glazing Retrofits

Watch how Glare Repair® transforms spaces by eliminating glare and improving daylight performance—without blocking views where they matter most.

The Daylighting Investment That Backfired.

More glass. More daylight. More connection to the outside.
It was the right call. Until the complaints started.

Glare makes screens unreadable. Hot spots make workstations unusable. Occupants reach for the blinds and pull them down. Then they stay down and not just when the glare is bad. The glass that was supposed to make the building better is now doing the opposite.

So the “solutions” go up:

Blinds pulled down to block glare Blinds & Shades
Tinted film being applied to glass Tinted Films
  • Blinds and shades block the view and defeat the purpose of glass.
  • Tinted films darken the space and deteriorate rapidly.
  • Both force reliance on artificial light, increasing energy costs and undoing the daylighting investment entirely.

It’s Not a Glass Problem. It’s a Diffusion Problem.

Clear glass transmits light exactly as it arrives — direct, uncontrolled, and concentrated. That’s true whether the glass is clear, tinted, acid-etched, or white laminated. Those surface treatments may reduce transmission or add privacy, but they don’t change the fundamental behaviour: the light still enters as a focused beam, and wherever that beam lands, glare and heat follow. What’s missing isn’t less glass — it’s diffusion. The ability to scatter incoming light evenly across a space, eliminating the contrast between bright and dark areas that causes glare in the first place.

Now You Can Fix It Without Starting Over.

Glare Repair® is a light-diffusing glazing retrofit that installs directly inside your existing glass — eliminating glare, reducing hot spots, and restoring the daylight performance the building was designed to deliver. No demolition. No disruption. No replacement.
Before and after Glare Repair installation Before After
For Architects

It’s the answer you give a client who calls six months after occupancy. Glare Repair® closes the loop on a post-occupancy problem without touching the original design intent.

For Glaziers

It’s a retrofit service you can offer on any existing installation. No IGU removal, no demolition — just a clean, billable upgrade that solves a real problem for your clients.

For Building Owners

It’s the fix you’ve been looking for since the blinds went up. Same glass. Same frame. Same opening — just without the glare, the hot spots, and the complaints.

Glare Repair® — What You’re Installing

Glare Repair® is a piece of glass incorporating our signature light-diffusing fibre veils, specifically configured to match the visible light transmittance (VLT) required to eliminate glare in your space. Every installation is different — the configuration is engineered to your glazing, your orientation, and your occupancy. We offer a complimentary Radiance daylight model to determine the exact configuration your project needs before anything is ordered or installed.

Control Glare Without Losing the View.

The key is placement. Glare Repair® goes where you don’t need direct views — above, beside, or below key sightlines — so you get diffused daylight exactly where it causes problems, while keeping the view exactly where it matters.
  • Reduces contrast between bright and dark areas, softening glare at the source.
  • Eliminates hot spots and thermal discomfort while maintaining full daylight.
  • Preserves views where they matter — reducing or eliminating the need for blinds and shades.

Why Not Just Replace the Glass?

For nearly 30 years, Solera® has been the world’s best highly insulating and light-diffusing glass — and if you’re building new or doing a full renovation, it’s still the right answer.

But full IGU replacement isn’t always the right call. The existing glass may be in perfect condition. The budget may not support a full retrofit. The timeline may not allow for demolition. We understand that — and we built Glare Repair® for exactly that situation.

We took the same proven light-diffusion technology inside Solera® and engineered it to work inside your existing glazing. No replacement required.

Stop Managing Glare. Fix It.

Whether you’re an architect fielding post-occupancy complaints, a glazier looking to offer a retrofit solution, or a building owner who’s tired of the blinds — Glare Repair® is the answer.
Glare Repair may be right for you if…
  • The existing IGUs are still in good condition — replacement isn’t warranted.
  • Acid-etched or frosted glass was already specified to fix glare — and it made the contrast worse instead.
  • A faster, simpler, and more cost-effective fix is needed — without major renovation or disruption to occupants.

*Glare Repair® is not recommended for use in skylights, on tempered glass, or on IGUs that have moisture issues or leaks.
